The purpose of this list is to get an idea of what venous research is going on in Scandinavia. It can also provide an opportunity for collaboration, such as expanding a study to multi-center if your inclusion rate is too slow.

Please enter the title of the project, collaborators, university or hospital where the study takes place and a brief description of the project. Also enter name and e-mail address for whom to contact.

Translation and validation of VVSymQ to Swedish. Karolina Hultman, Helen Sinabulya and Lena Blomgren.

VVsymQ is a short form of VEINES-QOL/Sym, an international health related quality of life quesionnaire for venous disease that we recently validated in a Swedish translation. VEINES-QOL/Sym has 26 questions and is not practical for clinical use. VVSymQ has 7 questions, and is now used in the american varicose veins registry. We will now test and validate VVSymQ in Swedish, 300 patients in three clinics: Narva Kirurg Center and Åderbråcksklinikerna in Stockholm, Åderbråckscentrum in Malmö.
